After a difficult start in cloud computing, Oracle, a long-term commercial software company, has launched a second-generation cloud system that manages the data centers in which customers lease capacity.
According to Forrester Research, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft are two large companies that will account for more than two-thirds of the global market in 2019. Still, Oracle is looking to expand its geographic reach.
Clay Magouyrk, executive vice president of engineering for Oracle Cloud, says that new data privacy regulations, such as the EU, require many companies to keep data in the country in which it was created, and that cloud data centers are significant.

Oracle is going to establish data centers at 36 sites by 2020’s end. The company has launched a second-generation cloud system that manages the data centers where customers can lease capacity.
According to Clay Magouike, Oracle vice president of engineering for the cloud division, the goal of the company’s goal is to establish at least 2 regions in each of the countries where it operates. It is explained in the event of a disaster.

Oracle added the Jeddah region to Saudi Arabia on Monday. Amsterdam, Osaka, Melbourne, Japan, Canada, Montreal, and Canada. The company will add the 2nd region to Saudi Arabia this year, along with two areas to the United Arab Emirates. Oracle said the top 10 Japanese companies use cloud computing products but have no names.
Competitors to the Oracle cloud (and larger budgets) will continue to add data centers, and Amazon will also add five regions and 16 Availability Zones. However, IDC research director Deepak Mohan said that, given Oracle’s corporate customer base, ensuring geographic coverage after further data regulation is a solid strategy.
