Update (redeploy) a Web application in weblogic

When you update a Web application, WebLogic Server redeploys the archive file or exploded directory. Update a Web application if you have made changes to it and you want to make the changes available to WebLogic Server clients.

To update an application, follow these steps:

1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit
2. In the left pane of the Console, select Deployments. A table in the right pane displays all deployed applications and modules.
3. In the table, locate the Web application you want to update (redeploy).
4. Select the check box next to the name of the Web application you want to update.
5. Click Update to redeploy the application.
6. Change the application’s source and deployment plan paths as desired.
7. Click Finish to confirm your decision.

1. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
   Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart
