SPECIAL INSTRUCTION for formsapp.ear as part of 10.1.2 forms component in R12 :
To complete the application of Patch, please follow these instructions for Application Server middle tier (including Forms/Reports Services):
1. cd $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/applications/formsapp/formsweb/WEB-INF
2. cp orion-web.xml $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/applications/orion-web.xml_pre9282569
3. cp web.xml $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/applications/web.xml_pre9282569
4. Redeploy formsapp by executing the following command:
dcmctl redeployApplication -f $ORACLE_HOME/forms/j2ee/formsapp.ear -a formsapp -co OC4J _BI_Forms
5. Restart OC4J _BI_Forms
Cause :
The readme instructions are for a Standalone Forms Server and not for the Forms Server used for Oracle EBS
The SPECIAL INSTRUCTION FOR formsapp.ear is not required for Oracle E-Business Suite Applications.
Solution :
These Post Patch instructions can be ignored safely. Most of the Fusion Middleware patches have instructions that are not related to EBS.
