Description :
- Oratop is an interface that takes data from top and oracle databases on a host.
- The utility combines the data to OS data and session data.
- It allows the viewer to see how multiple databases are interacting with the host and identify high CPU consumers, memory consumers, and IO consumers.
By default, ORATOP utility will be present in $ORACLE_HOME/suptools/oratop directory (or)
Download the oratop file using the following link — 1500864.1.
For oracle version 12c, oratop utility version will be 14.0 and for 19c, the version will be 15.0.
Changing the name to ORATOP from the default name. While executing faced the below error states that one of lib file is missing
But found the same file in the lib directory under $ORACLE_HOME.
So added the library path to the environmental file.
Now executed the ORATOP, it will prompt for the username. Once provided it will collect the data related to the server and database as below.
Verified the sql developer to confirm the session running in the database.
