Introduction
we will be discuss about the vacation rules setup in oracle cloud. Vacation rules setup is very important in the approval setup process. Vacation rules helps to divert the approval notifications to some other approver for approval. In this case, our approval process keeps going if any person still not available in office or might be a vacation.  

Why we need to do 

We just need to setup the new approver name for the approver who is not available or going on vacations so that in the absence of that approver, some other approver can approve the notification and keep the process going on. This feature was also available in oracle apps r12. To create vacation rules in oracle fusion, we need to go to the BPM tool in oracle fusion. 

 

Step1 – Go to Setup and Maintenance roles. 

Step2 – Search the task ‘Manage Expense Approval Rules’ 

Step3 - In the BPM tool, click on the Username (on the top right side) which have a drop-down menu of ‘Preferences’

Select -> Preferences 

Step 4 – Click on the Vacation Period icon as highlighted below and enable the vacation period check boxes to enter the dates in which we want to enable the vacation rules for my user  

In the Delegate to field, need to enter the person’s name user account to which we want to delegate the approver notification for my user account. Account. 

Conclusion 

The rules under My Rules take precedence. So, during your vacation, all your approval tasks are delegated to your assistant except for the hiring ones, which are reassigned to your manager.
