Andrew Reichman, director of product management for cloud infrastructure at Oracle, announced last year in an article on Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure data center in Tokyo that Japanese investment in the cloud is increasing. Reichman says: “The size of the public cloud services market in 2018 will reach 688.8 billion yen, an increase of 27.2% year over year, and the market is expected to reach 1.66 trillion yen by 2023.”

Reichmann said in a blog post in 2019 that he added a second region of Japan to Osaka to help more effectively deploy workloads in the most demanding businesses and public sector organizations.

What is Oracle for?

Oracle helps companies solve the toughest business technology issues. Over the years, Japan has been amongst the largest organizations in the country, employing cities that they have established. To support their customers in this region, they announce the launching of the data center for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Tokyo.

The top 50 Japanese companies (excluding imports) utilize Oracle software. Thirty-two of them use it in certain ways that include cloud services and applications. Based on Oracle’s second-generation cloud technology, its availability in Japan can meet the challenges of high performance, resilience security, and local data requirements that Japanese firms need to grow their adoption of cloud computing.

Also, since most of its customers in Japan are developing global activities, the Tokyo region is a launching point to promote worldwide deployment and the proliferation of data. Customers in the Tokyo region use fast and secure data to connect the region to other cloud infrastructure.

Investment:

According to data from IDC Japan Ltd., the cloud services market reached around 688 billion Japanese Yen in the year 2018 with an increase of 27.2%. And the size of this market is expected to reach 1.66 trillion Japanese yen by the year 2023. Currently, Oracle can meet this demand for the cloud through local regions of the cloud platform, optimized for its core database, enterprise applications, along with third-party custom workloads.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers unique data solutions and they plan to extend it in Japan. Its most vital solutions include High-Performance Computing (HPC), including Exadata Cloud services, standalone database services, advanced HPC and GPU IT forms.

Wrapping up:

Oracle is committed to innovative cloud strategies that meet the needs of enterprise users. The cloud delivers massive, and consistent performance for all the types of enterprise workloads, including Oracle, third-party custom applications, and flexible, low-cost discounts predictable in any case.

Minimize risk and downtime while moving all types of workloads to the cloud. Also, customers expect to establish a second region of Japan in Osaka this year. This will allow the efficient deployment of the workload in the most demanding companies and public sector organizations in Japan.
