Job Requirement

• Project Role: Hybrid Cloud Specialist ( Linux, MS Azure and VM administration)
• Project Role Description: Hybrid Cloud Specialist will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including administration, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting on-prem and cloud environments, as well as assisting with the development of new solutions. You will also be expected to keep up to date with the latest cloud features and capabilities and to provide recommendations to the team on how best to leverage these to improve the overall environment.
• Work Experience: 5 - 7 years.
• Work Location: Chennai

Technical Expertise & Key Responsibilities

Technology Skills: Hybrid Cloud skills – Redhat Linux Administration, Microsoft Azure, and VMware.

Exposure to Linux Administration: (Preferred Red Hat Linux)

• Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of Linux operating Systems.
• Installing and Administering Linux servers in client environments.
• Good knowledge in Booting Process, server performance and related issues.
• Having experience of User and Group administration.
• Installation and configuration of Linux services like SNMP, FTP, NFS, SAMBA, DNS, Partitions, Swap and Filesystem management.
• Installing patches and packages on LINUX SERVERS.
• Good knowledge of OS Migration.
• Creates, maintains, and updates platform documentation and standard operating procedures.

Exposure to cloud administration: (Preferred Microsoft Azure)

• Experience in Cloud compute, storage, network, IAM, monitoring, backup, DR, and security.
• Having experience in Load Balancer Web Application Firewall Implementation.
• Having Good experience in Resource Provisioning and Management, Security and Access Control, Patch Management and Updates, Logging Analytics, Alarm and Query.
• Troubleshooting, administration support, monitoring, capacity, and performance tuning.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Cost and Billing services-based optimization in cloud.

Exposure to VMware and Windows server administration

• Install, configure, and support Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Windows Roles and Features (IIS, SSL, .Net, AD, SFTP, DHCP, DNS, SharePoint etc.), and applications in various public and private cloud environments.
• Must be able to accurately troubleshoot Windows configuration issues, performance issues, and various service/failures.
• Installing, configuring and administration of VMware (ESXI, Vcenter, Vsphere client), Nutanix.
• Installing and configuring SAN and NAS storage.
• Maintaining windows and VMware clustering environments.
• Must have a good understanding of firewalls, IPS/IDS, and server port management.
• Develops operating procedures for system administration activities, including system monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and server architecture design and system maintenance.
• Deploying Infrastructure and managing vendors to facilitate installation of server hardware across data centers.
• Follows operating procedures and utilizes established support tools for analysis and reporting requirements.
• Interfaces with external and internal Network Engineers, Storage Engineers, Database Administrators, and Application Teams to optimize systems use and configuration.
• Provides technical knowledge and recommendations to staff members as required.
• Ensure the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications, and Services
• Experience with PowerShell scripts (read/writing). Python/Ansible/Puppet preferred.
• Creates, maintains, and updates platform documentation and standard operating procedures.

Good To Have Skills

• Communication: Good communication skills to work collaboratively with other teams and to communicate effectively with customers.
• Soft skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Experience with PowerShell scripts (read/writing). Python/Ansible/Puppet preferred.
• ITSM experience of strong process knowledge in IM, CM, PM, Audits and risk management.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in any fields.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
