How to uninstall patch file when need to downgrade and remove it
What is the patch file.
RTM is the original build version of the product when you download the ISO file from MSDN.
SQL Server patching is installation program from Microsoft to install an updated build of SQL Server on an existing SQL Server instance this program would fix errors and add new features and enhance the befits and limitations for business purposes we can name it from its behaviour like Cumulative updates (CU), Service Pack(SP) and General Distribution Release (GDR)
Reason to uninstall.
When patch file corrupted
When business required to uninstall.
Procedure to uninstall.
When installed SQL Server patching it will merge with original file generally we can not find this fine in program files list.
We should go to Run–>Appwiz.cpl–>
View installed updates–> Right click on patch file –>uninstall.
