Kuleena loves to lead from the front and feels that it is important to appreciate the team members to boost morale. She takes up every situation as a challenge and takes full ownership of her actions.
What is your role at Doyensys?
I am a Senior Principal Consultant working with the Products/ Tools Team.
What does your average day look like?
Since I work in the products team, each day is different for me. I start my day planning for the tasks and then reply to the pending emails. I also attend various meetings and training programs.
Can you quote your favorite Doyensys memory?
As there are many memories worth mentioning, it is hard to quote any particular one. But the one I cherish the most was when I was awarded Employee of the Quarter in 2009.
If you had to pick one aspect that you like the most about working at Doyensys, what would that be?
Doyensys has provided me the flexibility to work from home. I am one of the employees who have been working from home for most of the days in a year.
How do you contribute apart from work at Doyensys? (Eg: Contributing to Events, CSR Activities, Conducting Sports etc.)
As I have been working remotely, I have not got any chance to contribute to CSR initiatives and activities.
What kind of a leader are you? How do you rate yourself as a leader, and what do you do to motivate your team?
Being a determined person, I accept every situation as a challenge. While leading from the front, I take ownership of my actions. I also appreciate my team members boosting their morale.
What do you like doing when you are not at work? (Eg.: Shopping, playing games, etc.)
I spend time with my family. Also, I like to do painting and watch movies.
Who do you look up to in your life – someone you would want to follow?
Honestly, I do not have a specific person to look up to in life. I have been blessed with many beautiful people around me, including my colleagues, friends and family.
What have been noteworthy achievements in life that you look back on with pride?
For me, every achievement in Doyensys has its unique place and value. But one noteworthy mention is the recent appreciation note received from the client and the top management.
What is your favorite quote in life?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. (Proverbs:3:5-6)
What has been a challenge you faced in life that you overcame?
Since I have been working most of the time remotely, balancing work and home has been the biggest challenge for me. But with the support of my family, especially my husband, I have been able to achieve the same.
