A maintenance plan is a set of measures (workflows) taken to ensure that a database is properly maintained and routine backups are scheduled and handled.
Login to the server
Go to the maintenance plan, Right click and select new maintenance plan
Then a new tab will open and go to the view and click tool box
In tool box click backup database task
Click the database task and drag it to main box.a new tab will open
Click that box then new tab will open..then give the below details in general tab
Then go to destination tab and give the below details
Then go to options tab and give below details
Give OK and you can see backup up database task ‘X’ mark will be gone
Then go to schedules and give the backup for once in a week at 10pm
Then check in the schedule it shows the name of the schedule
Then go to the maintenance planright click and give execute
It is successfully executed
