Introduction/ Issue:
To reload all existing shipment history into Fusion that was deleted when the Load Planning Data from Flat Files process was run in Target mode instead of Net Change mode.
Why we need to do / Cause of the issue:
When the Load Planning Data from Flat Files process is executed in Target mode, it refreshes and replaces all existing data with the data provided in the FBDI file in Fusion SCP. In this case, the shipment history data was unintentionally deleted, which impacted shipment forecast generation in the client application. To resolve this issue and restore accurate forecasting, the shipment history must be reloaded using the appropriate approach.
How do we solve:
- If the business is using Oracle EBS, navigate to Advanced Supply Chain Planner Responsibility and then run the request Extract Data for Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud process and select the collection mode as Target Refresh. Select the required fields and date range for which the shipment history needs to be collected.

2. Once the history is extracted, check the file format it should be as below as per standard FBDI template to load the data to Fusion

3. Once the file is validated, save the file in csv format and zip the file

4. Navigate to Fusion, under tools, import the zip file using File import and export

5. Navigate to scheduled process under Tools and run the Load Panning Data from Flat file by selecting the zip file in Netchange Mode

6. After the above process is completed successfully, then run Aggregate Collected Planning Data process to aggregate the planning data in higher levels

7. Once the above process is completed successfully, navigate to demand plan under supply chain planning then run the demand plan with refresh with current data option

8. Once the plan is refreshed then we can see all the existing shipment history we have loaded
Conclusion:
It is important to be cautious when executing any process in Target Refresh mode in Fusion Supply Chain Planning, as this mode removes existing data from the repository before loading new data. Hence, it is generally recommended to use Net Change mode whenever possible. Restoring the deleted shipment history is crucial for achieving accurate demand and shipment forecasts in Fusion. Using the correct data load method helps maintain historical data consistency, ensures dependable planning results, and avoids similar issues in future planning cycles.
