Introduction:

While running ADOP Prepare phase as a part of patch in EBS we may end up with the error as “Synonym does not point to a seed data table”

 

Cause:

The cause of this error is still unknown to oracle.

 

Solution:

Run the below command as Apps user,

exec ad_zd_seed.upgrade (‘FND_PROFILE_OPTION_VALUES’);

 

Note: Before running the above command make sure you have aborted the Patching cycle, if you proceed with the fix without aborting the patching cycle the mentioned table will get corrupted and application will not work properly.
