This diagnostic test will validate the WORKFLOW NOTIFICATION MAILER – Java Mailer Setup and do an initial data collection of frequently requested information.

1) Enable STATEMENT Level Logging for the Workflow Mailer
a) Login to E-Business as a user assigned the System Administrator responsibility and navigate:
b) System Administrator > Oracle Applications Manager > Workflow > Notification Mailers > Edit > Advanced
c) Click Next to get to page 2 and set Log Level: Statement

2) Stop the Workflow Mailer and the Workflow Agent Listener Services
Make sure that there is no services running with respect to WORKFLOW.

3) Restart the Workflow Agent Listeners and then Restart the Workflow Mailer

4) Login into EBS applications and send a “TEST MAILER” to yourself to validate response of workflow notification mailer.

a) In the Service Components page for notification mailers in Oracle Applications Manager, select the              Workflow Notification Mailer service component and click the View Details button > Click the Test Mailer button. Note: The test page lets you send a test e-mail to a workflow role.

b) In the Recipient Role field, select your user name from the list of values. Note: Only workflow roles with a notification preference set to receive e-mail and an e-mail address defined are included in the list of values for this field.

c) Click the Send Test Message button. In your preferred mail client, verify that the e-mail account associated with this e-mail address receives the test e-mail.

5)Run Oracle Workflow Java Mailer Setup Diagnostic Test

a) Download “ATGSuppJavaMailerSetup12.zip” and unzip it. [ Download from: Oracle Workflow ATG Support: Java Mailer Setup Diagnostic Test (Doc ID 748421.1)]

b) Run “ATGSuppJavaMailerSetup12.sh” and it asks for the following details.
APPS Username :
APPS Password (Mandatory) :
Inbound Mail Account Username (e.g. First.Last):
Inbound Mail Account Password (Mandatory if checking IMAP Configuration) :
Inbound Mail Server (e.g. myhost.mydomain) :
Outbound Mail Server (e.g. myhost2.mydomain) :
Reply Address for the Outbound Notifications :

6)Review the zip output file created by the script to diagnose the issue or attach the zip file to oracle service request.
