DBC file is simply a database format structured around CAN Messages and Signals.
The DBC format is proprietary, but a number of online DBC wikis detail the basic concepts.
During OA Framework development, we need to get the DBC file of the environment we want to work on.
This file is located in $FND_TOP/secure for 11i and $FND_SECURE for R12. Open up a web browser and go to the homepage URL of any instance like DV3CG1 etc. and append “/OA_HTML/JSP/fnd/aoljtest.jsp” to it.
Enter the schema details:
Click On Test
Now, Click Enter AOL/J setup to get the DBC file:
and Click on locate dbc file:
Save the marked content in a notepad with .dbc as an extension.
