Jilani Basha Shaik is a hard-working member of the Doyensys community. He has contributed vastly by taking on new challenges that has come his way. Here is our effort to know him better.
How long has been your journey with Doyensys?
This is the 5th year of my association with Doyensys.
What is your role at Doyensys?
I work as a Principal Consultant.
What does your average day look like?
Any day at work involves me to take on multiple activities that expand my horizons and allow me to take on new challenges.
Can you quote your favourite Doyensys memory?
Doyensys has a ritual of conducting annual outing sessions. These sessions are my fondest memories as they help the employees to bond outside of work.
If you had to pick one aspect that you like the most about working at Doyensys, what would that be?
It is a great place to work. Most of the employees have been working in this organization for more than 5 years.
How do you contribute apart from work at Doyensys? (Eg: Contributing to Events, CSR Activities, Conducting Sports etc.)
Most of the time the HR team takes care of these activities. I try to contribute in whatever capacity I can.
What kind of a leader are you? How do you rate yourself as a leader and what do you do to motivate your team?
I try to motivate my team by sending appreciation mails every time they do something exceptional. I feel appreciation goes a long way in being a good leader.
What do you like doing when you are not at work? (Eg. Shopping, playing games, etc)
I play with my kids and it is an activity that helps me unwind after work.
Who do you look up to in your life – someone you would want to follow?
I hear some videos of Somu Valliappan, as I get inspired by his speeches.
What has been the note-worthy achievement in life that you look back with pride?
I never expected that I would get a chance to visit the onsite location. Fortunately, an opportunity came and I went.
What is your favourite quote in life?
One should not become a slave to anything.
What has been a challenge you faced in life that you overcame?
Long back I faced some challenges on the client site. I overcame them with the help of Somu & Prakash.
