In order to reduce the risk of losing control files due to corruption, accidental removal, or any possible worst.
Viewing the Control file available in our database
Command to create a copy of the base control file
again view the control file,
it shows only the old control file because we gave the Scope parameter as ‘SPFILE’, The changes will be done in the next bounce, So I am shutting down & Starting the database
Starting Up the database in “NOMOUNT” mode
Now we can check the control file and location,
Now we can mount and open the database, Control File multiplexing is done.
