Job Requirement

• Project Role: Hybrid Cloud Specialist
• Project Role Description: The Hybrid Cloud Specialist will be responsible for performing tasks including administration, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting on-prem and cloud environments. This role also involves developing new solutions, staying updated with the latest cloud features, and recommending improvements.
• Work Experience: 5 – 7 years
• Work Location: India, Mexico, or USA

Technical Expertise & Key Responsibilities

Technology Skills

• Hybrid Cloud skills: Red Hat Linux Administration, Microsoft Azure, and VMware.

Must-Have Skills and Responsibilities

Exposure to Linux Administration (Preferred Red Hat Linux)

• Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux operating systems.
• Administer Linux servers in client environments.
• Good knowledge of booting processes, server performance, and related issues.
• Experience with user and group administration.
• Installation and configuration of services like SNMP, FTP, NFS, SAMBA, DNS, partitions, swap, and filesystem management.
• Patch and package installations on Linux servers.
• Knowledge of OS migration.
• Creates, maintains, and updates platform documentation and standard operating procedures.

Exposure to Cloud Administration (Preferred Microsoft Azure)

• Experience in compute, storage, network, IAM, monitoring, backup, DR, and security.
• Experience in load balancer and Web Application Firewall (WAF) implementation.
• Resource provisioning, security, access control, patch management, logging, and analytics.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Support DevOps practices by automating deployments across cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices for hybrid cloud environments.
• Cost optimization and billing management in the cloud.

Exposure to VMware and Windows Server Administration

• Install, configure, and support Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and various roles (IIS, SSL, AD, SFTP, DHCP, DNS, SharePoint).
• Troubleshoot Windows configuration and performance issues.
• Administer VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere), Nutanix, and SAN/NAS storage.
• Maintain Windows and VMware clustering environments.
• Understand firewalls, IPS/IDS, and server port management.
• Develop operating procedures for system monitoring, backup/recovery, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Network Engineers, Storage Engineers, and DBAs for optimized system configuration.
• Ensure compliance with Information Security/Information Assurance policies.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting, Python, Ansible, and Puppet preferred.
