The ongoing pandemic and the following lockdown came upon us almost unexpectedly. It brought a transformative change in our lives. The world came to a grinding halt even before we knew it. The corporate world wasn’t left behind and had to prepare for a new normal, where employees would work from their homes.
We are pleased to share that Doyensys was able to sail through the circumstances smoothly. It wouldn’t have happened without the unrelenting support of our staff from housekeeping, IT and security.
They risked their lives to ensure that work was never compromised during the lockdown.
Recently, Doyensys conducted an online event to recognise the efforts of these warriors who ensured continuous and interruption-free service to our clients. Shashikant Jayaraman, founder and convenor of HR Sangam, attended the event and encouraged the employees with his motivating speech. Here are the glimpses of the event.
During the lockdown, Anbazhagan and Arun from the IT team stepped up and extended their support 24X7. They supported in shifting of the office to a new place. They made sure they were reachable at all times to resolve any issues faced by the employees. Arun did not shy away from visiting the client’s premises and went there several times to fix the laptop-related issues.
Rahul, a member of the admin team, risked his life and went to the office several times during the lockdown. He worked hard to support the employees and helped them in shifting monitors and chairs. His work is a true example of meticulous planning as he moved all the assets without any complications.
Dhinakaran, a member of our security staff, stayed in the office throughout the lockdown. He stayed within the office premises and supported everyone, from HR to IT teams.
Doyensys couldn’t have sailed through this time without the support of Saran and Raja from the housekeeping team. They went to the office frequently to clean and sanitize the premises. It assured the employees that they could visit the office without giving it a second thought.
In the end, Shashikant shared his experience in engaging the employees during this pandemic. He stressed upon the need to have frequent video calls so that everyone feels connected. He also shared how the employees could utilise this time by learning new things while they are working from home.
All in all, it was an enjoyable event and truly reflected the spirit of Doyens.
